Bunbukan dojo is based in Israel, founded by Sensei Yosi Lurie in 1996 and active to this day in a number of locations across Israel.

In our dojo we study three Japanese martial arts:
Aikido, Iaido, Jodo

Yosi Sensei has over 30 years of experience and holds the following dan ranks:
Aikido 5th Dan (aikikai); Iaido 6th Dan; Jodo 5th Dan.

Yosi Sensei is also a key member of the The Israel Kendo and Budo Federation (www.ikbf.co.il) – not for profit organization aimed at the promotion of Japanese sword arts in Israel.

AIKIDO classes are held in Ashdod & Ashkelon.

Our Aikido class is suitable for men and women of all ages, with or without prior knowledge of martial arts.

The school of thought is Aikikai along with input from the late Hirokazu Kobayashi (a direct student of O'Sensei).

IAIDO classes are fit for men and women of all ages, with or without prior knowledge of martial arts.

We study Musō Shinden-ryū, according to ZNKR guidelines.

Beginners start by learning basic sword movement, using a bokken (wodden sword) and according to the growing level of control of the sword, advance to using a Katana – Iaito sword (no cutting edge).

JODO classes are fit for men and women of all ages, with or without prior knowledge of martial arts.

We study Shintō Musō-ryū.

Students of this art practice both Jo (the stick) and the Bokken (sword) by engaging in paired kata simulating a duel.
